So, it's been a week since we decided to repeat the Times experiment.
My report:
About 65 per cent of what I spent last week was spent on others and only about one third - on myself. It is not surprising for a married woman with a family: my routine expences include buying a lot of things for my husband, my daughter, my mother, my dog and others. I would say, that's pretty typical for me.
As for my mood, it's been quite high in spite of the gloomy weather, overworking, undersleeping and other stressful details, which are also characteristic for this time of the year.
I daresay, to know more about how my mood depends on my spendings I'd have to stop spending on my family and concentrate on my own pleasures - and compare)))))
What about you?

  1. My report will be boring. Almost all money that I given I spent on myself- food, fare, some student books... Same situation every day. I donated some money In Subway or Railway Station. I usually save some money in order to buy presents for friends and relatives.
About my mood-the only thing that annoys me, that I spent my parent's money, not mine. It is really different, when you buy something for somebody paying your own money, that you earned.
And the ony investment that made me happy-tickets for concert, that I bought on Saturday

  2. And now it's time to write some words in my report. Well, for the past week the main part of my income - 70 percent approximately I spent on myself and about one third - on thers. The expences included food, transport fares, sport gear, books, cinema tickets and so on. To my shame, I was not generous enough with respect to charity.
Regarding my mood, I haven't noticed any considerable changes. It was quite OK, if I can say so.
Since the main source in my income is the allowance provided by Academy I do no require any significant money support from my parents and I feel good with it.
Finally, the only purchase made me feel happy for the last week - a pair of the new running shoes!

  3. Unfortunately, I have almost nothing to say. During last week the money I was given I spent on myself that's why I can't tell you that I made someone be happy. The only reason for this is that all my income is the allowance from my parents so I can't spend money like water. My daily expenses are food, fares, things for my studing, etc. And I am so upset that I can't despense charity to the poor. If only I could! I wish I would be able to help people in the future.
As for my mood, I have already said that I'm not satisfied with myself. That is to say, I really like and even enjoy helping people. When I have my own money I definitely will spend it on others.
In conclusion, I'd like to say that I bought three pairs of jeans last Saturday and this purchase makes me feel happy, but the fact is that my mum helped me with money and this makes me feel sad...

  4. My report will not be conspicuous. First of all, I have only one income source: money allowances from my family, and I'm not very proud of it. Actually, I didn't have enough free time to have expenses on entertainment, so all money I have spent is on the necessaries of life: food, fare ,etc...
Furthermore, each week I save a sum of money for hard times or buying some presents to my relatives, especially now on the threshold of New Year. According to my daily routine, I've no opportunity to donate some money, but if I have some, certainly I will make it.
Talking about my mood, here I agree with Sergey, only one thing always oppresses me: is spending parents money! It's awful to understand how much my expenses are, and they cost a round sum I think! All in all,I hope that soon I'll be able to work, and can pay for some of my expenses.

  5. My report will be rather tiresome and predictable. Last week I spent about 80 per cent of my income on myself. My expenses include a great variety of routine things, for instanse, fare, food, stationery, beauty treatments e.t.c.
Besides, I started to choose and to buy the New Year presents for my relatives. I'm a selective person, so I' ve spent a lot of time to buy toys and books for my little brother. I hope he'll probably like them.
I noticed that the research we had heard about was true. Buying things for others gives an opportunity to feel happy and delighted. Sometims it's better to make someone happy giving presents for them instead of spending all your budget on yourself. Even if the the presents don't cost a fortune, they aregood value for money.
Unfortunetly, now I can't donate a lot of money for charity, as I live only on the allowance from my parents. I'm absolutely agree with other poins of view, that we can't take pride in it...

  6. I have nothing special to say in my report. My budget during this week was as usual, and all the expenses were not different from the expenses of my groupmates - I mean food, fare and some small things. My income is composed of the allowance from family. Personally speaking, I would like to earn money myself, and I know that the feelings of spending it would be different.
Honestly speaking, it's difficult to say about the percentage of money that I have spent.
By the way, I made a donation this week when I was doing shopping in Internet. I give money such a charity every time I buy something in Internet, it's optional and not difficult for me to help someone. It made me happy despite my chagrin about spending not my own money. Moreover, it's time I thought about buying presents for my relatives and friends because New Year is coming, and I hope it will make me happy too. In other words, I think my mood about the way of spending money will be improved.
