I'd say that it's not impossible. I can't say for sure, just because I don't have enough expereince. Nowdays it's a common thought that men can't handle some things, that women can. First thing are children, I feel that man can look after their children on the same level as women. I remeber my childhood when always played with me football or do some another fun staff, but it wasn't so many times, as I wanted to, just because of plenty of his time. He had a lot of work and weekend were the only time when he could took his time for me. I belive that's the same situation in general: men are work hard, they suppose to help women grow their children up, so they don't much time. If you ask me about doing housework, I would say it depends on type of work. If we talk about repairing something, or bulid something in the house-so yes, men are better than women (in general). Nevertheless, I belive that woman are much better in redecorating house. You can always say live woman in this place, or not. Because if it is so, it looks more comfortable and nicer place to live.
In my point of view, housework should be done by both women and men. We have conventional work which women did at all times, such as cleaning, sweeping, washing, ironing, sewing. So it would be quite strange if men did this kinds of work. Personally, I think there is logical explanation to it. Men tend to be in a harry, may be even careless in such types of work which need slowness and tidiness. As it is so women have their housework. They know how to do it and how to be good in it. Men have housework which needs more strength and speed. I mean repairing, changing lamps or hammering in nails. As for cooking I think both can do their best in this kind of work. The statistics shows that meat is cooked better by men than by women. If we speak about looking after a child I'd rather say that every child should know upbringing by both of the parents. Very often women allow to do their kids a lot of things which men never could. Sometimes it's better and unfortunately sometimes it's worse. It is better for boys to spend more time with their fathers and for girls with mothers. Not only because of the discipline - the parent of the same sex can really teach some very useful things which help their child in the future.
In my opinion, it is possible for men to do the same things as women do. It is a well known fact that many centuries ago male's activity was different from female's. For example, while men had to defend their families against wild animals or enemies, women had to bring up children and preserve the hearth. But nowadays, we have such type of families as partner's type when men and women share their charges. It is common thing for males to pick up their children after school, to wash the dishes, to sweep the floor, and even to cook. I met such people personally and I can say that they really enjoy this way of life. Moreover, I can say that men are very creative and inventive, and in some cases they are even better with kids than women! In conclusion I'd like to say that it doesn't matter who runs the house, it is more important that this is a very warm and welcoming place to live in!
