  1. Good evening, Irina Leonidovna. Good evening, Nadezhda Vladimirovna. Of course, I recognize you.
I would like to give my answers to your questions.
Frankly speaking, I would like to pay a bit more attention to writing. In future we, students, will need to write some letters not only to our friends, but to our colleagues, too.
I do not know anything that could be bad for us during English lessons in first term. They are always so interesting and interactive that I can't find anything that I would like to see less.
As I think, the most exciting activity during our English lessons is speaking. It improves our spelling and intonation. Also there are always some interesting topics to discuss and some new facts, some new information. It broadens people's minds, which is useful in life.
Finally, I find it difficult to say that it is hard to find anything boring... It is unreal personally for me, because I like the language and I enjoy the lessons.

  3. Good evening, dear teachers!
I think it's the easiest one - of course, I can recognise my teacher (Irina Leonidovna).
I will answer your questions with pleasure!
1 - I would like to see more linguistic aspects. Maybe, some intristing and most difficult situations in the English language (especially in grammar and vocabulary). Also, I find interesting doing presentations, studing the history of UK, history of law. It also could be games (which could help us to improve our English. for example role-games)
2 - I can probably name those things that I would like to see less. everything is usefull.
3 - I suppose that it is speaking and...phonetics (it's really funny sometimes when we try to repeat something)
4 - Boring? Do you really think that there is something boring?! As for me - NO!

Taking chance, I'd like to thank the teacher of our group - Irina Leonidovna - for being so kind-hearted, gracious, patient, mindful to us. Whith her I feel myself comefortable and some kind relaxe. Thank you very-very-very much!
I hope that you still want to teach us and share your knowledges with your students!

  4. Hello Irina Leonidovna and Nadezhda Vladimirovna!
Of course, I recognize one of my favourite teachers at the Academy Irina Leonidovna.
Well, I want to answer some of your questions.
    1. To be honest, I think we should pay more attention to speaking, listening and phonetics because it is very important to understand and be understood by foreigners and native speakers.
    2. I'm sure there is nothing boring and useless at our lessons. All helpful knowledge, which we get from Irina Leonidovna, is necessary for studying the language. We also pay attention to English intonation, which has a great importance, and our group try to master it, even though it's sometimes funny.
    3. In my opinion, the most exciting thing at our lessons is home reading because to know the language is to read a lot of books in original. And it is very interesting to ask everybody about the development of the plot.
So, I really thank you for your questions. I hope our interaction will be pleasant for all of us.

  5. Good evening, Irina Leonidovna and Nadezhda Vladimirovna!
Of course, I recognize my teacher Nadezhda Vladimirovna.))
I would like to answer your questions.
I like our English lessons very much, and to be honest, I don't know what I would like to see more of at our lessons, because we have a lot of different activities! I find it very professional to give us some kinds of activity during the lesson. We can practise in writing, reading, speaking, listening, phoenetics and also understanding a language in a film! It makes me interested in subject and I don't feel tired, even after a whole working day. So, I just can't invent some another kind of activity!
Also I think there is no boring or useless information or activity at our lessons.
I find activity with new words and word's meaning most exiting, because I want to learn as many as possible new words. Maybe I would like to know more about different pronunciation in parts of Great Britain or about different meanings.
There is nothing boring for me at our lessons!

I would like to thank our teachers for the questions and I really thank Nadezhda Vladimirovna for teaching our group!!!

  6. Hello Nadezhda Vladimirovna,Irina Leonidovna)
Before I answer your questions, I want to give my general opinion of English lessons.
Well, it's smth like new experience for me) I don't know how describe this, but I have real motivation to work. There's no doubt, that the lessons are full interesting activities. First time I found unusual and little bit difficult, but some time later I understood that it's up to you, to learn or not.
About questions, well like I said activities are OK. And thanks to our teacher, our lessons are full of motivating work and fun. It's the most successful combination I think)
Maybe one little think that I don't like is Grammar Lab, but of course I understand that it is necessary part of our study.
    There are no boring activities))
Finally, I'm happy to study in Nadezhda Vladimirovna's group, and I'm sure that at the end of education my English will be perfect)
    P.S.
Sometimes it is difficult to study last lessons at the begging of week, because I sleep about 4-5 hours, but thanks to Nadezhda Vladimirovna. Her energy is always enough to share with us)

    1. I could probably advice you on MyGrLab: it is really extra difficult sometimes, I admit))), but what you should bear in mind to make it easier and more understandable is its practical issue. We do not study grammar to do a research; we do it for practical purposes. So opening a new complicated grammar page ask yourself a question: what is it about? how can it help me in my everyday writing - or speaking - or whatever... Like finding a place for an exotic adjective in a phrase, for example.
Secondly, choose a few rules that you find more useful, make a list of them and look for opportunities to use them in your speech or writing; create these opportunities if you can't find them.
And finally, don't worry too much about the other rules if you can't use and remember them all (I haven't said it, mind you!!!I'm a severe teacher!!!)))))) Concentrate on what you can realistically build into your language. You can always come back for the rest of them at some next level in the future.
I can confess I was a little worried about you in September after the first quiz or two)))); but now I think you're one of the most promising students in our group!

  7. Good afternoon, Irina Leonidovna and Nadezhda Vladimirovna!
I also recognise my teacher Irina Leonidovna. And I want to thank her for our wonderful English lessons.
    1. What would you like to see more of at your English lessons? - I like everything in our lessons, something more, something less. When I came to group they had already started to watch film, so I watched only end of it. I like to watch films in English and I really want, if it possible also, we to continue doing it in our future lessons.
    2. What would you like to see less of at your English lessons? - There is no such things for me. Maybe it would be better if Irina Leonidovna gave us words for dictation not the day before or gave it for weekends.
    3. Which activities did you find most exciting? - Home reading. Interesting book, everyone try to tell us his opinion about what happens to main characters.
    4. Which activities did you find really boring? - Don't know, but I promise to tell my teacher about it if I would find one.

Thanks for your attention and for your questions.

  8. Good evening Nadezhda Vladimirovna,Irina Leonidovna.
To begin with, I'm fond of MGL in spite of everything, so I'd like to see a bit more grammar from it. Moreover, I suppose, that to improve our English we should watch and analyse some TV series (because they usually contain useful vocabulary) - during the lessons or just as hometask.
Second of all, "to see less"... Well, let me see... I do not see anything undue on our lessons, so everything is OK.
What is more, I allege our group activities to be the most thrilling parts of our lessons. However everything is exciting to a certain extent.
Finally, I found some grammar from EF slightly tiresome - we are able to take it from MGL instead (it is considerably more challenging there).
P.S. I'm looking forward to our exams)) I hope we'll all pass it))

    1. "...Exciting to a certain extent..." - is an enchanting combination!)))))))))))
As for TV series: I sort of agree with you, but going through them at the lessons would be really time consuming; we would need to create a special course... I'd rather bargain for the hometask under the circumstances)))))
Which series could be more useful than others, in your opinion? It would be a good idea to publish a link on the blog so that we all could watch and comment (or even create exercises for each other?) - how about that?

  9. Good evening, Nadezhda Vladimirovna and Irina Leonidovna!)
I would like to answer all your questions with great pleasure)
Firstly, are you joking? It is impossible not to recognize our the most favourite teacher!)
Secondly, there are a lot of different activities at our lessons and all of them are very interesting in their own way. But I can tell that I find phonetics one of the most favourite things to do, so I would like to see it more of at our English classes.
The third thing I want to say is that there is nothing that I would like to see less at our lessons because I understand the necessity of activities we usually do. And if we find something hard to do or understand, it doesn't mean that we should do it less. On the contrary we have to do it more!
The fourth thing is that I find playing different situations most exciting(to be doctors and patients, for example), because it gives pleasure and we have some fun with this activity.
But from my point of view writing is the most boring thing. I really hate it as if it means that we have to work individually, whereas I prefer working in groups.)
I hope all your activities will help us to raise our level but I also realize that it depends on us.)))

    1. Yes!!! I was joking asking the first question!))))))))
I'm glad you like roleplay - it's one of my favourites too!
Have you heard of collaborative writing? It's like several people editing a text together. We could do it if we had computers in the classroom... Anyway, we were promised Wifi since January - so maybe we could do some with the help of our ipads and other gadgets... Remind me next term if I forget - we'll see what we could do.

  10. Good evening,Irina Leonidovna and Nadezhda Vladimirovna!
I`d love to answer the questions, that you`ve suggested)
1.We`ve been doing almost all possieble kinds of activities on our lessons already and we are pleased with it.The thing I certainly would try is watching films or TV series in English maybe as a part of our hometask, it has a great influence on our pronunсiation and it`s interesting enough.I also don`t mind having extra grammar and speaking at our lessons.
2.The most tedious thing for me is phonetics for now, but mentally I understand it`s importance, so I agree we should have it anyway.
3.I`m fond of our discussions at the lessons whatever about they are and home reading. It provides us with proper speaking skills and let know each other better.Besides, home reading was a task I coudn`t make myself do on my own for a long time, so thanks for your help with it.
4.There is no useless boring things,I suppose.
I like our classes for not being too formal, thank you for this friendly atmosphere and knowledge.)
