  3. Tell me, what do you know about Russia and especially Moscow? I mean, except for vodka, eternal Putin, corruption, matreshkas and bears walking down the street? Yeah, yeah, yeah, we all know these common stereotypes but Russia and its “heart” Moscow are something different (apart from Putin of course).

So, if you really want to get aware something about Russia visit its capital because Moscow is the embodiment of the whole country. Here are some tips about the sights that must be seen, places that must be visited, food that is worth tasting and so on.

First of all, if you're first time in Moscow, then visit the Kremlin. It's the heart of the heart. Then the Red Square where the St. Basil's Cathedral, the Lenin's Mausoleum many other monuments are situated. You also should see such sights as Pocklonnaya Mountain, the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, the Bolshoy Theatre, the Pushkin Museum, the Gorky Park, the Luzhniki, the New and Old Arbat...

The next point is, how to get to all these places of interest? Well, you'd better use the underground and by the way, many stations are amazingly designed! Moreover, going on ship tour can serve you as a good way to combine getting around and sights seeing.

Finally, you can have a rest and taste traditional russian food in the plenty of cafes or restaurants that are almost at every step in Moscow. I'd advice you such dishes as vareniki, russian pancakes (called “blini”), shi or bortsh (soups).

Oh, and by the way, if want to buy some souvenirs you can do it in lots of shops. However, try to be creative and do not by stereotypical stuff. Have a good time)

  5. You are lucky tourist! You have made the best choice and now… you are in Moscow!
If it is your first visit to our city, don’t worry: we have some tips to help you!

Moscow is one of the beautiful cities in the world, and it is no wonder, because every part of city has its sights. Of course, the centre of Moscow is the most interesting part. And it is not only the most interesting, but the oldest part of the city. No doubt, you will visit the Red Square so don’t forget about its masterpieces of ancient Russian architecture - The Kremlin and St. Basil's Cathedral. For the tourists of all ages and nationalities we recommend to visit the Historical Museum which is also on the Red Square.

Then you can walk to the pedestrian street called Stary Arbat, and go through Novy Arbat. If you are short of time, the good choice to visit will be the Moscow planetarium, Novodevichy convent and Poklonnaya mountain in Park of Victory (especially in summer when the fountains are flowing).

To get the real atmosphere of the city by night you should go to the Vorobiovy mountains, you will see the main building of the Moscow University and the incredible view of all the city in the lights will make you hold your breath!

What’s the best way to get around the city? There are a lot of them. First of all, we recommend you to go down the underground – Moscow doesn’t have just usual metro-stations – all of them are really works of art! To take taxi is OK, but it can be too expensive and timeless because of the traffic jam. No doubt, it will be unusual for tourists to go by tramway. Such experience gives you back to Moscow of the XX century.

Don’t forget about shopping – a good souvenir to take back with you is not only a typical Russian toy Matryoshka, but also dishes with special pattern like Khokhloma, Zhostovo or Gzhel. The best shopping mall to visit is Afimall because of its largeness and a great assortment things to buy. Again about Matryoshka – there is very interesting exhibition on the last floor of the mall so you can take a lot of photos. It’s quite possible that you can haggle in one of the shops of this mall.

One more important thing is to find a good place where you can have a meal. It’s not so difficult in Moscow at all. You must try some typical Russian food!
If it is breakfast we advice you syrniki(like pancake but thicker, made of curd) or bliny(like pancake but thinner) with sour cream.
If it is dinner: traditional soups rassolnik (is made of pickled cucumber) or okroshka (is made of vegetables and kvass). Try kvass (mixture of a bear and fizzy water) and as you guess –vodka. But don’t overdrink it!

As you can guess, you won’t be bored in the capital of Russia. We hope our tips will help you. There are a lot of sights to see and a lot of souvenirs to buy. You will never forget the inexpressible atmosphere of this city. This visit to Moscow will be the best trip you have ever had!

  7. Welcome to the center of Russia! Moscow is very vibrant. It is a 24-hour city with a great diversity of sights, clubs, restaurants, shops and internationally known events.
The heart of Moscow is Red Square. It has more historic associations than any other place in Moscow. The Kremlin and St. Basil's Cathedral are masterpieces of ancient Russian architecture. Also don't forget to visit the splendid places such as Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, the State Tretyakov gallery and the Bolshoi Opera House. If I were you, I would necessarily visit these must- see sights in Moscow, because you will be able to experience Russia's capital city more fully and gain a more complete picture of Moscow life and culture.
Metro is the best way to travel around the city. It's rather cheap and comfortable, because you don't have to spend your time in traffic jams. The Moscow Metro has been founding since the 1930s and a number of the inner city stations are decorated in such a way that they’re even more interesting than an art gallery.
It's no problem finding good food and drink in Moscow these days. Moscow is a great city for dining out, with restaurants to suit every pocket. Stuffed blini (Russian pancakes), kvas (a faintly alcoholic fermented beverage), hot potatoes with a variety of toppings, and other tempting quick bites can be had at different cafes around Moscow.
To bring " a peace of Moscow" with you go to Izmaylovo market. It is the main souvenir market of Moscow. Different folk crafts, jewelry, antiques, chess sets, and other “Russian” stuff are sold there.
